My Personal Statement About Joining the Bob Barr Presidential Campaign Team

My Personal Statement About Joining the Bob Barr Presidential Campaign Team

I am thrilled to be a part of the Bob Barr/ Wayne Allyn Root campaign team!

Over this past weekend, the campaign asked me to join the staff in the role of Midwest Coordinator. I am responsible for the campaign in the following states: North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Minnesota, Michigan, Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio and my home state of Missouri.

There is only one candidate for President who is dedicated to reducing the size, intrusiveness and cost of government and that candidate is Bob Barr. Simply put; electing former Congressman Barr will result in government being held accountable to Americans. The founders of his nation purposely restrained government with the Constitution. Bob Barr is the only candidate in this race who understands this, agrees with this and has a passion for putting our country back on right path.

Bob Barr and Wayne Allyn Root are both working tirelessly to have a positive impact on America. That impact comes from working to get government off our backs and from working to maximize and restore our personal and economic liberties. This is what I believe in, which is why I am a Libertarian.

The 2008 Libertarian Presidential ticket is the strongest third-party candidacy in almost 100 years. I am honored to be a part of this effort.

My immediate focus is to make sure that voters in all of the states that I work with are able to vote for Bob Barr by making sure we are on the ballot. I am also working to build effective campaign structures with the state Libertarian Parties, Independents (like those who supported Ron Paul’s Presidential bid) and those in both the Republican and Democratic Parties who are frustrated as they watch their party continue to abandon the principles that made America the beacon of freedom and prosperity that we can become once again.

I encourage everyone to learn more about the only candidate and the only campaign that can truly make a positive difference in America this year by visiting www.bobbarr2008.com.

I will continue my work on the Jackson County Public Water Supply District #1 Board of Directors, the Grandview Transportation Committee and the Grandview Planning Commission while supporting the Barr/Root campaign. I was elected to the water board and appointed to the others and take my responsibilities to my community seriously.

For those interested in following some of the elements of a presidential campaign that you do not see on the news each day; I will be blogging, as time permits, about my experiences at www.myspace.com/missouri_viewpoints.

For those who are viewers of “Missouri Viewpoints”, we will continue to record, produce and release new programs, although at a reduced frequency. I hope to return to the regular pace of three to four programs per month in November. Check back to www.missouriviewpoints.com for updates on the show.

Thank you for taking the time to read this – now, it’s time to make history!
